With the start of the school year, my availability is changing! The new hours are already reflected in the online scheduling system so if you've been scheduling online, the dates/times you saw available were in fact correct. Here is my new schedule of available times:
Saturday: 9am - 3pm Sunday: 9am - 3pm Monday: Closed Tuesday: 9:30am - 2:15pm Wednesday: 9:30am - 2:15pm Thursday: 9:30am - 2:15pm Friday: Closed This new schedule opens up two more spots per week, as well as some more availability later in the day on weekdays. Hopefully it will be more convenient for all! See you soon! As you may have heard, as of April 3rd, the WA Department of Health no longer requires that everyone wear masks in healthcare settings. As a result, masks will no longer be required at Warrior Massage.
However, if you are vulnerable to contagious/respiratory infections, or live with someone who is vulnerable, or if it is simply your preference to continue wearing a mask, masking is still encouraged. We still have masks available if you would like to wear one and forgot to bring one to your appointment, and your therapist will be happy to wear one by your request. Stay safe and take care, and we'll see you soon. As universal masking mandates have ended, you may not be aware that the WA Department of Health still mandates masking for all providers, staff, patients, and visitors at all healthcare facilities. Any location where a licensed healthcare provider comes into contact with patients, is considered a healthcare facility. Licensed Massage Therapists are considered healthcare providers in the state of Washington and are explicitly included in this mandate from the Department of Health.
You may also have heard that the office of the Governor of Washington is ending its state of emergency as well as numerous regulatory emergency orders related to the COVID-19 pandemic. This does not include the mandate for masking in healthcare settings, which comes from the Department of Health and is within their normal healthcare regulatory powers, not the emergency powers granted to the office of the Governor by the declared state of emergency. Please bring a mask to your massage appointments; if you forget or you don't have one, we will provide you with a disposable mask which you will be required to wear during your appointment. Thank you for your understanding. Also; massage prices will be increasing on January 1st of 2023. It will be a $5 increase. Please be aware that any gift cards purchased are redeemable for the value on the card, not redeemable for a particular service. If your gift card will no longer have enough value to pay the full price of your session, you can still redeem it for the value on the gift card and pay the difference at time of service by cash, check, or credit card. If you have credit on your account from a Samurai Membership or Ronin Package, you can still redeem the credit at the 2022 price until March 1st, 2023. After that date, you will still be able to redeem the credit but will be billed at the new 2023 member rate. If you have any questions about masking or the price increase, please email me at jesse.jones@warriormassage.com. Dear clients, please be aware that ClinicSense, the scheduling and clinic management software used at Warrior Massage, is currently experiencing an issue with emails being blocked/filtered by some e-mail service providers. This is especially true for Microsoft-operated email services (hotmail.com, outlook.com, msn.com, and live.com).
ClinicSense is working to resolve the issue. Until then, if you are unsure if you have successfully scheduled an appointment, or if you have an upcoming appointment and/or you do not receive an expected notification email, please text me at 202-413-6999 or send me an email at jesse.jones@warriormassage.com, and I will be happy to confirm whether or not you have an appointment scheduled. You can also add appointments@clinicsense.com to your email program's address book; this will let your email provider know it is a legitimate service and help to prevent the appointment notifications from being blocked or sorted into your spam folder. The following new list prices for massage services will take effect on January 1, 2022. It is the mission of Warrior Massage to provide unparalleled quality of deep tissue massage at a competitive rate that is affordable for our clientele, and I hope you will find that mission reflected in these prices.
When comparing prices to competing massage venues, please keep in mind that massage businesses typically expect you to pay gratuity that is not included in their listed price. At Warrior Massage, quality of service is included in the price and gratuities are not accepted (except in the case of promotional offers and events). If you have credits on your account from a recurring Samurai Membership or Ronin Package purchased before January 1st, they may be redeemed at the 2021 price until June 1st, 2022. Starting June 1st credits can still be redeemed for the original amount paid but you will be asked to pay the difference between the paid value and the new price. Prices beginning January 1st, 2022: Deep Tissue Massage, 60 minutes: $90 Deep Tissue Massage, 120 minutes: $180 Samurai rate, 60 minutes: $75 Samurai rate, 120 minutes: $150 Ronin Package (six 60-minute massages): $450 Introductory Massage (new clients), 60 minutes: $70 You may be aware that the Washington State Secretary of Health, under the direction of the governor, has issued an order allowing those who are fully vaccinated to not wear a face covering or mask.
You may not be aware that, even if you are fully vaccinated, the Secretary of Health's Order will still require you to wear a mask in the following places:
With the shifting landscape of healthcare mandates and guidance coming from the CDC, DOH, and all manner of other public agencies and officials, I have had many patients inquire whether masks are still required for vaccinated patients.
Yes, you will still be required to wear a mask for your appointment, and your massage therapist will still be wearing a mask and taking all other established safety precautions. Massage is conducted in a small space with prolonged exposure, so it is still prudent to continue doing as much as we can to reduce the chances of virus transmission while rates of infection in the community are still high. Also, if you are not yet vaccinated, I strongly urge you to do so. ALL Americans who are at least 12 years of age are eligible to receive the vaccine, and no matter what your financial situation or whether/what kind of insurance you have, the vaccine will be provided at no cost to you. If you have any doubts or questions about vaccination, please consult with your physician as soon as possible to find out more. If you do not have a physician, I would be happy to refer you to one who can help answer any questions you have about the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine. Beginning in May, the Samurai Membership will take on a new form: rather than being a six-month package that is paid for up front, it will now be a monthly subscription that you can pay online. Payment can be made as each invoice is received, or you can set up autopay with your credit card or checking account (via ACH) to save you a step! Memberships can be cancelled or paused at any time, with only a small fee if cancelled within the first 6 months - equivalent to the difference of what you would have paid for your redeemed visits had you not used the membership option.
Along with this change, the membership price will be rising slightly, from $68 to $70. Credits toward membership massages purchased before the date of this posting will still be honored at the $68 price. Prefer the Old Ways? You will be able to buy the Ronin Package, 6 1-hour massages at the membership price ($70 apiece) without the need to have a monthly bill. My hope is that by providing this additional option with more flexibility in financing will allow more people to enjoy the benefits of regular massage! For those of you who have thought "that was a great massage, but it would be awesome if it were longer!", your day has arrived! You can now book a 2-hour (120 minute) massage at Warrior Massage.
Please be aware that times will be more limited simply because there are less spots where a 2-hour massage will fit into the schedule. Please consult with your massage therapist before booking a 2-hour massage, to determine whether 2 hours of deep tissue treatment is appropriate for you, for your body, and for the conditions you are currently experiencing. Your massage therapist may decline treatment if they determine it would not be appropriate or safe. New clients, please do not book a 2-hour massage, as your therapist would like to get to know you first in light of the above. 2-hour massage is not eligible for new client discounts.
