I will be in Pasadena, CA at the American Massage Therapy Association's national conference. I won't be answering voicemails and will be slow to answer emails or texts. Hopefully when I return I'll have learned a few new things. Have a great weekend!
I will be closed from today until Sunday, on account of I will be at Mount Rainier running a trail relay (RAGNAR) race. There is not expected to be internet access/cell reception or electricity for charging devices, so if you try to contact me, please don't think I'm ignoring you... just don't expect a response until some time on Sunday. Now get out and enjoy this non-smoky weather!
If you are scheduling online you may notice that the links now direct to a new service, ClinicSense. I am currently testing the functionality of their system but will likely switch permanently from Schedulicity.
For the time being, credit card entry will no longer be required to book an appointment online (this will likely change back in the future, and unfortunately at that time you will need to re-enter that data if you had had it saved in a Schedulicity account previously). Why the change? In order to improve workflow and decrease administrative error, I need a system that includes client accounts, medical charting, and scheduling all in one. While Schedulicity has a very strong and competitive online scheduling platform, they unfortunately do not offer charting for providers. What does this mean for you? On the downside, it means that if you had a Schedulicity user login/account, you will need to make a new one (and re-enter user data) on ClinicSense. Also, as it will now be integrating medical charting, I will now be eliminating paper intake forms so that all data is automatically entered into your account/charts as you update it. The downside there, is that everybody will have to complete a new intake form. With any luck, this will prove to be a robust system and there will be no need to change it again any time in the near future. Happy Spring, Warriors! Just a heads up, I will be in Europe from May 19th, to June 2nd... and since I am the only massage therapist here, Warrior Massage will be closed for those two weeks!
So if you were hoping to get a massage between now and June, be sure to book soon! Spots will fill fast. I will be closed on Sunday April 9th, and Tuesday April 11th, for various events which I am attending. However, to make up for the lost time I will be open on Monday, April 10th (from 9-3, Tuesday's typical hours).
If you've ever thought "Oh boy I could really use a massage on a Monday but that guy over at Warrior Massage doesn't work Mondays", here's your chance! It has come to my attention that there was a brief outage today of the online schedule/calendar at Schedulicity (it was related to technical issues at Amazon). I apologize profusely to anyone who was unable to schedule their massage during the outage! I am pleased to report that it is back up now, and appears to be operating normally.
I will be in beautiful Hawaii from October 12 to October 26, so if you are hoping to get a massage in October, book soon as the remaining spots will likely fill up fast! Also please excuse my lack of replies to emails/voicemails/texts while I am gone, as I don't expect there to be wifi on the beach. Aloha!
I will be working with the Washington Sports Massage Team at the "Ride from Seattle to Vancouver and Party" (RSVP) cycling event.
As well as not taking any appointments at the office, I will have limited opportunities to return calls/emails until Sunday. If you happen to be riding RSVP this year, stop by our tent at the Bellingham Days Inn halfway point and get a massage before you continue on to Vancouver! Warrior Massage will be closed this weekend, May 14th and 15th, because I will be attending the 2016 International Massage Therapy Research Conference in Seattle. Response to email/voicemail may also be delayed. Normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, May 17th.
